Jose Maria Roldan

Director General of Banking Regulation at Bank of Spain.

Member of the Advisory Board of XBRL International

Mr. José-Maria Roldán is the Director General of Banking Regulation of the Bank of Spain and member of its Executive Board since October 2000. Since January 2004, he was also previously Chairman of the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS), and was a past Chairman of XBRL Spain. He is currently a member of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, and the Banking Supervision Committee.

In 2002 and 2003 he chaired the Joint Forum during the tenure of the Basel Committee of Banking Supervision (BCBS). From June 2000 and until July 2001, he was the President of FATF (Financial Action Task Force Against Money Laundering). He also chaired the Banking Advisory Committee (BAC) during 2003.
