Executive President Elect, Ignatius Sehoole, officially took the helm of SAICA in January 2000.

His position is one of considerable consequence and influence, his main objective being to drive SAICA's transformation process forward into the new millennium.

His most recent position was with Murray & Roberts Contractors. Here he was responsible for mergers, acquisitions and disposals, as well as feasibility studies for greenfields operations. The Executive President is the leader and chief spokesperson of SAICA. His responsibilities include representing SAICA at high profile functions, heading up delegations to meet with senior government and private sector leaders and maintaining ongoing media contact.

Prior to his construction days, Mr Sehoole's career path steered him into the food industry, and more specifically Fedics Food Services.

He started at Fedics Food Services in 1992 as Group Internal Audit Manager and a year later was appointed as General Manager Finance.

In 1994, he was promoted to Operations Director: Inland Region where he looked after the productivity, quality, human resources, client satisfaction and financial performance aspects of his division. In 1996, Mr Sehoole was appointed as the MD of Inland Region, with 3500 employees and 330 contracts - including Reef Food Services which catered for mines nationally - as his main responsibility. In this capacity he was instrumental in bringing an empowerment consortium into the Fedics group.

Mr Sehoole is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA), having completed a BComm at Vista University, a BCompt (Hons) and Certificate of Theory in Accountancy at the University of South Africa. He also has a General Management Diploma from Ashridge Management College in the UK.

He completed his articles at Deloitte & Touche and served a brief period at Transnet in 1991.
